This is a follow-up on a previous post about stress. Weighted blankets are popular as sleep aids, stress relievers, and comfort providers. What if I shift my perspective of life’s stressors and think of them as a weighted blanket, wrapping me up and keeping me cozy? As responsibilities, deadlines, and expectations start to pile up and feel overwhelming…maybe they become a weighted blanket for me. What if I just let myself collapse into the comfort of life, including all its stressors. Being alive is an amazing thing, the good and the bad, and I’m going to try to take more solace in everything life throws at me. All my problems will become my own personal weighted blanket that I can carry with me everywhere. Sounds nice.
